Which is best for my artwork?
Computer Painting
Is it
best to create your art with computer paintings printed on canvas, or to create your art with acrylic on canvas?
Now we have the option of
using photo shop or such software to draw, paints, to add any color, add any
style, depth, hence to add your personal touch.
You can be in an air-conditioned room working at the computer. You will be sitting.
Once the painting is completed
you can save the master copy on any medium.
You will be able to print your art work on a canvas. It can pretty much print to be any size. It also can use to print on postcards,
posters, photos and on anything. There is nothing better than the UNDO button, for
making mistakes. There are no painting
brushes to neither cleaned, nor use.
There is no work area to clean.
To be efficient, I agree
you must take time out and learn the software.
Once you do that its smooth sailing.
Unfortunately, a design did not sell. With computer painting the loss of investment
was not great. I know some people would
prefer the real painting; it’s the art that matters. It is the art that will have to impress the
buyer.
Just to say you bought
one painting by, the most famous painter in town? Which was done with
acrylic? And then buy another painting
by an ordinary painter whose was done by computer painting. With both the art works on displayed; one
next to the other. And for three days
you asked people to vote on, which had impacted them the most. And to your surprise, the computer painting
won, it’s because the art affected people.
Working on the computer
is not easy. You must still be patient
and artistic. To print on canvas can be
waterproofed. It depends on the printer’s
ink.

Before now, one had to gather all the materials to do an art on a canvas; you must first get acrylic paints. Not just one but several colors, or the four primary colors. There are many brush sizes, styles and brushes for methods. You must consider. You must buy. Next depending on the size painting you are going to do, you need canvas. The cost for those materials is expensive.

Now
the area you are going to work must be ventilated for the acrylic paint has fumed and is toxic. If you make a mistake, it’s harder to fix. If, for some reason, you lose the idea and the art is bad. There goes your material. That’s money down the drain. With cleaning up, it can be stressful, for the paint brushes must be cleaned every time you take a break. You must allow the paint to dry for at least a day. And what if a cat jumps on it? Unfortunately, if your art did not sell? The investment on materials is a great loss.
With
this way, you can go on a scene and capture the nature. Computer prints on canvas can look flat, where by acrylic painting on canvas have more depth. I guess it’s all depended on the printing quality.
God
forbid, there was a big storm, and as with the two arts, works stated above got wet. Which one would be good to wash and displayed again? The answer is the acrylic painting. Before now, the artist bashed rocks to powder, then use plant dye to make paint.

So! To me, it is not which one is better, is how the artist creates his master piece. It is the society that will benefit. So much that they would buy your artwork.
Right now, there are artists who are making big money from painting on canvas, as well has there is an artist who will get rich in using the computer to paint and then using the printer to print his creativity on canvas.
My opinion is easy. I always wanted to be a painter. I was discouraged because of the cost of materials. That’s when I was a youth.
Who
is to say what I missed out on? Modern Technology is almost free. So, I started experimenting with computer painting. Then I realized that I needed to learn how to be efficient with photo shop.
Once
I did, I got ideas in many ways to experiment; until I found my own methods. You can do the same. The computer is the future, plus it’s easy to learn and operate.
